Single Wind Turbine: Lancaster University

Stephenson Halliday were pleased to assist the University of Lancaster with the landscape and visual report including cumulative and residential visual amenity assessments, in respect of a proposed wind turbine with a height of 100m to blade tip. The £5m wind turbine project was backed by a loan from the Higher Education Funding Council aimed at reducing carbon emissions and reducing energy costs. The project was approved by Lancaster City Council in April 2011 and the wind turbine became operational in 2012.
