Stephenson Halliday undertook the planning work and collated the Environmental Statement for Phase 1 of the Withernwick Wind Farm which comprised 9no. 110m turbines.  We later provided expert planning witness services to our client at the public inquiry which saw the scheme approved.  The key issues examined at the inquiry were the landscape and visual impacts of the scheme balanced against its benefits, and having regard to Government policy in respect of combating climate change and improving energy security. We prepared the relevant appeal documentation and participated in the inquiry under cross examination from the opposing barrister.

Following this success, we have recently co-ordinated the Environmental Statement and undertaken all planning work, including provision of the Planning Statement, for Phase 2 of the development comprising a further 4 wind turbines.
